Nutella is a chocolate hazelnut spread. It’s a yummy treat on its own, but it can also be used as an ingredient in many recipes.

The above-listed ingredients make for a smooth, slightly sweet Nutella cold brew coffee. It’s perfectly balanced, and the cold brew coffee makes for such a good basis.

If you’re not a fan of using whole milk, you can switch it to a lower-fat milk or milk alternative. I’ve tried this recipe with almond milk, and it tastes just as amazing.

You’ll need a good amount of ice cubes to create that refreshing drinking experience for this recipe.

If you’re like me and love drinking your iced coffees while sitting out in the sun, I recommend using coffee ice cubes instead of regular ice cubes.

You can make coffee ice cubes with any brewed coffee that is then frozen, just like you’d with regular ice cubes. However, once they start melting, you’re left with more coffee in your iced coffees, so what’s not to love?

Nutella cold brew recipe.

This easy-to-make Nutella cold brew recipe is the perfect drink to make on a hot summer day.

Prep Time 3 minutes
Additional Time 2 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup (0.18 l) of cold brew
  • 1/4 cup (0.06 l) whole milk
  • 2 tbsp (30 grams) of Nutella
  • A serving of whipped cream
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

Once you've prepared the cold brew coffee of choice, it's time to assemble the Nutella cold brew:

  1. First, you want to slightly heat the milk so that the Nutella will dissolve very easily.
  2. You can do so in a small saucepan or use a microwave for this.
  3. Once your milk is warm, add the Nutella to it and give this a good stir until the Nutella has fully dissolved.
  4. In a tall glass of choice, add your cold brew coffee.
  5. Add enough ice cubes to cool your cold brew completely. I used 10 ice cubes for my drink.
  6. Pour the Nutella milk mixture on top.
  7. Top this all with a serving of whipped cream.

I like to serve this with a straw so you can easily stir the coffee for the most balanced flavor.

Notes

You can make the Nutella and milk mixture beforehand, just like the cold brew coffee.

By preparing the Nutella milk in advance, you can store it in the fridge, and you can use fewer ice cubes as every component is already cold.

This is very helpful if you expect friends or family are coming over.
